Me time Mondays…

The idea of restorative yoga is to promote deep relaxation while holding the poses for longer periods of time with the help of props. There is no tension within the body while in the pose; pillows, block, blankets and bolsters will hold you in place. Some poses are so comfortable that your mind drifts off and long lost thoughts and emotions arise within, making room for emotional and physical change. 

The parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated, promoting relaxation, which helps balance and heal the body. This practice is great to balance an active yoga schedule or to give yourself a break when you feel run down and over worked.

Restorative Yoga balances a fast lifestyle and has an enormous capacity to heal physical and mental symptoms that are stress related.

The classes are held outdoors, with no music, allowing the yogi to listen to their inner voice and the sounds of nature. 


By using a vast variety of props        (bolsters, pillows, mats and blocks) we will aim for 100% relaxation in each pose. There is no stretching, no tension and no effort....just... letting go.
